Day1 Arrive Hanoi
Arrive Noi Bai airport. Tour guide welcome and transfer to the city. Water puppetry show in the evening.
Day 2 Hanoi – Halong – Hanoi
Drive to Halong, an area that is regarded as “the jewel in the crown of Vietnam”. We will take a cruise through he spectacular scenery where the islands rise from this tranquil emerald sea. Enjoy a sumptuous on-board lunch of special seafood and explore one of the most beautiful caves in the bay. Transfer back to Hanoi in late afternoon.
Day 3 Hanoi – Dong Hoi
Spend a full day exploring the capital city of Hanoi, starting with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his former residence, his impressive house on stilts and One Pillar Pagoda, before taking a walk in the ancient Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university established during the construction of the capital city. In the afternoon, we visit Hanoi’s most interesting museums, then take an hour Cyclo – tour viewing the charming French colonial architechture to the bustling Old Quarter. We then board the night train from Hanoi to Dong Hoi for an amazing exploration at Phong Nha Cave, listed as a World Heritage Site end of 2003.
Day 4 Dong Hoi – Phong Nha
Breakfast at the hotel in Dong Hoi town upon arrival. Drive to Phong Nha for a boat cruise along Son river. As we pass through breathtaking scenery of river and mountains, we encounter a number of magnificent caves containing stalactites and stalagmites. The Phong Nha cave, the most beautiul, boasts long underground rivers, large caverns and passage ways, wide pristine sand banks and astonishing rock formations. Additionally, the tropical forest is home to many endangered or “Must Be Protected” species of wildlife. Back to the hotel in Dong Hoi town overnight.
Day 5 Hue Citadel
Drive to Hue, one of Vietnam’s most cultural and historical cities, once ruled by the Emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. Arriving in Hue,, we take time to visit the marvelous Forbidden Citadel and explore the crowded market of Dong Ba where you may be interested in bargaining for some priceless souvenirs.
Day 6 Hue – Danang – Hoi An
Up early to cruise on the Perfume River, visitting the impressive tomb of King Minh Mang with a stop at the Old Thien Mu Pagoda before transferring to Danang, the gateway city to the World Heritage Road. Continuing on, we arrive in Hoi An, known as an ancient town of meandering narrow streets dating back to the 16th century.
Day 7 Hoi An Ancient Town
Nestled a couple of kilometers in land on Thu Bon river, Hoi An still boasts the old architecture of mixed influences from the 16th century, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese. It’s said to be a “living museum”. Whilst wandering this magnificent town, enjoy the atmosphere of this spectacular, original culture. Tailor-made clothing, lantems shoes, food and relaxasion of the beach… Hoi An is an ideal place and it has become a favorite destination for foreign visitors.
Day 8 Hoi An – My Son
My Son, 70 km southwest Danang, was the capital of the once almighty Champa Kingdom. It boasts a complex of ancient ruins that date back 1,700 years. This the most complete example of ancient Champa ruins that Vietnam has maintained. Transfer back to Hoi An for an overnight stay.
Day 9 Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City
Fly to Saigon from Danang International airport. Arrive Ho Chi Minh City – once called “The Pearl of the East”. Upon arrival, you are transferred to the hotel for refreshment. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 10 Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Today, we will explore the famous MeKong Delta. Drive to the southem town of My Tho and take a boat on Tien Giang to visit Thoi son Island. We stroll the local orchids and witness the traditions of candy making. Enjoy the local hospitality while discovering their orchard gardens. Back to Saigon for your leisure or to explore the city on your own.
Day 11 Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap
In the moring, we fly to Siem Reap where our journey starts by exploring the fabled temples of Angkor Wat. The impact of the history of this site is unparalleled.
Arrive Siem Reap, check into the hotel and the rest of the day is for your free time.
Day 12 Siem Reap
Today is a full day of exploration that will lead us to Phnom Bakheng, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Day 13 Depart Siem Reap
On the concluding day, it’s time to relax until transferring to the airport for departure flight. Tour ends.
